My hubby, Mike is in a National Magazine!!!!!

This is Mike proudly holding "THE MAGAZINE" with his photo in it!!!!

This is the front cover of Life Images that has his photo in (just incase you are in a store and want to peek PAGE 22).

Last spring, before we had even thought of opening a store we had seen this magazine and Mike liked some of the photos that were in it. He checked it out and wondered about submitting one of his pictures. He submitted a couple and a month later he heard from Life Images that they had chosen one of his photos. We were so excited! The picture happened to be of our 2 little girls staring into each other's eyes.




We were unsure of what issue his picture would be published in since it only comes out quarterly. Saturday Mike brought the mail in and there was the magazine! We both looked at each other and I was not waiting for him to open it, he just stared at it. I tore the plastic wrapper off and started paging through and there it was! His picture, his name and where he lives and his poem and the equipment he used! I was like a kid in the candy store! Seeing my husband's name, Mike Marti in a National Magazine was so exciting to see! It was real!



When you come visit us we will have the magazine in the front cabinet for you to see and the original picture is on the wall as well. Sorry he will not be around for autographs ~wink ;}, just kidding!



Congratulations to my hubby! And Yes, he is also the photographer for Pictures Delight.

You have to hear this story. This past Sunday the store was open (2nd Sunday of every month 11-4) and SigLinda happened to be taking advantage of the open Craft room by getting some presents made. She was still there at 4pm so she was my witness for the drawing. You can not even imagine the surprise on her face when she saw her name was drawn! She was so happy she had tears of joy! I gave her a great big hug and I could tell how happy she was in that HUG! I know she will enjoy all the goodies in that basket! Congrats again SigLinda!

I am Ringing in the new year with LOTS of goodies! I am soo excited and I know I have spoken to many of you about this so you know my excitement.

Look for our expansion and updates in the store. We are adding on a whole new room to the store, updating the smaller 2 rooms and bringing in at least 15 new Companies!!!!!!!!

I am so excited I could do cartwheels!

You guys have asked for some of these companies and certain products so my goal is to make you happy and make this store your one stop shop for your needs. Ok Mine too, some of you have seen my stash wink ;}. So are you excited?

Some of you have spoken of my Dec. newsletter and it has been so busy I apologize for not getting those sent out yet. I will be sending those out to those of you who have given me your addresses and there will be a special coupon in there for you to use at Scrapping on the Go in 2009! As a thank you from me for helping my shop to grow. The newsletter will be for Dec and January but after this you will have to pick up the newsletter and class updates from the store or I can also email them to you. My customer list has really grown and that is a lot of stamps.

~DIVA~

I just had to share this cute Diva Babe with all of you! This is my youngest grand baby Jali, yes, I have a grand baby. I actually have 3 and no I was not 15 when I had my eldest child. LOL (I get asked that a lot ) Ok back to the layout.








I love how this 12x12 layout turned out. I got my inspiration from here, http://glitzitnow.blogspot.com/ . The ladies at Glitz have some wonderful ideas and layouts and Yes I carry their papers and lots more of their goodies will be in the shop soon. I love it, love it ALL!!



What I did to my layout is I first cut out the shape of the paper on the top right hand so the picture would fit into it. I used my favorite super strong double sided tape (I carry it in the store) all around the edges and I sprinkled Pink Paislee Pixie Stix Licorice Candy around the edge to give that sparkle! See all of the outline of the flower's stem? I outlined all of the stems with EK Success glue pen and sprinkled more Licorice candy all over it. Pretty huh?



I used 2 flowers from my Heidi Swapp line for the big flower and placed one of her big black brads in the center and then added some of her bling flowers into the center of the brad. I loved the flower that was in the Glitz design but I did not have one like that so I just sprinkled yup, more licorice. BLing BLing BABY!!!!!

See the word Diva? I used my Quickutz that I have in the Scrap room for everyone to use. For those of you who maybe new to scrapbooking, a Quickutz is a tool that uses patterened dies to cut out shapes and letters. I then used the glue pen to adhere the word Diva to the page and added more glue to the front of the letters. I must just love bling because I sprinkled more licorice over the letters and placed more of Heidi's bling flowers to the wording.

I wanted this to be a real girly girl layout so I used pink SEI paper for a matt behind the picture and added a corner pink bling, again from the Heidi Swapp collection. I had some pink, black and white sheer ribbon from my own private stash and I tied them in a knot and adhered to the bottom right hand corner.

This was such a fun layout and I got to show off one of the girls in our family to all of you. The products used to create this design can be found right here at Scrapping on the Go and I can even help you to scrap your own keepsake if you would like me too.

Hate Shopping on Black Friday???

I figured with everything going on in the shop this day and I know some of YOU hate to shop with the crowds and you do not want to stay home then come to one of your favorite places doing what you LOVE to do! Scrap

The big room is open and if it gets filled up we have some tables set up by the snack bar. Just bring your snacks or meal. We have a fridge, microwave and toaster oven. All are free to use and there is a snack bar with munchies and beverages to purchase and coffee is always free! Some of us can always put our moola together and just order pizza too! Sound fun!!!

Then gather up your supplies, get your babysitter lined up and call your friends and come here! Give me a call and I will save you a spot!!
