Mike and I would like to express a special thank you to those of you who said special prayers, sent cards, called us on the phone and stopped in to visit to see how we were during these past few weeks. It is so nice to know that we have built some pretty special relationships with our customers that have become a second family to us. We also appreciate your patience and understanding while we had the store closed.

Cards for a Cause is going strong!!!

I have been receiving some really nice donations of cards for a "Cards for a Cause" , a BIG thank YOU to those of you who have! I am ALWAYS accepting card donations of any kind. I have decided that whatever amount I have by December 1st the store is going to MATCH the dollar amount and we will go on a shopping spree by picking mittens off the Giving Trees and purchasing presents for children! This will be so much FUN!

This will be in memory of my Mother~in~Law, Dee! She Loved children and I thought this would be a very good way to remember her! Plus, whoever would like to go shopping with me can help me out and we will have a wrapping party to make the presents look so special for the children! I can just imagine the twinkle in a child's eye with a big grin on their faces when they open their presents!!!!! Oh, how I LOVE the Holiday!

If you do not make cards and can not donate then stop in and purchase a card! They are sitting in a basket at the counter!

I also have a change on my Craft Nights

with the cost of everything going up, my Saturday Craft Night will now be $12 instead of $10. This change will start September 1st.

This is still a very inexpensive amount for 12 hours of FUN scrapping that includes lunch and supper, beverages, snacks, prizes for all, 15% off in store products and sweets!

**Store Closed

My Mother in Law Dee made her journey today to become an Angel.

She is at peace, no more pain and she has joined her family in the heavens above. She will be missed by all of us. She was such a fighter, never complained and I am just happy that she is no longer hurting. Seeing her slip away from us was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I am at peace because I got to spend the past few days with her and I got the chance to tell her everything that I ever wanted to say to her. She will be thought of often and she will truly be missed.

Card mania is canceled for this up-coming weekend. I apologize for the change in this.

I will figure out another date and announce it. If you will be unable to make that date just let me know and I can set a set aside for you.

I would like to say thank you to those of you who have sent prayers, stopped in to visit and for those of you who have helped me out this past week. A special Thank you to Tonya for helping me out on Wednesday for opening the store for me at the last minute. I really appreciate it. Thank you mom for taking care of my girls, that really means a lot to me and I know they like the grandma time.

I apologize to all of you for not being at the shop. I know some of you may get upset if you come to the store to find it closed this week. You may wonder why I do not have someone else covering for me. I try to keep the expense down so I mainly have a family member help me when needed and they can not always come when they have already made plans. This week has been very traumatic for my family so thank you for understanding.

God Gave Us One Another

God gave us the seasons-

each meant to bring us a blessing, a joy, and a feeling of love.

God gave us the sunshine, the rainbows and the rain, the beauty and freedom of nature to teach us the wisdom of gentle acceptance.

As most of you know my Mother in law Dee is very ill with cancer and she is terminal. She is not doing very well and I wanted to be her. Please remember Dee in your prayers.
