Good morning to You ALL~

I have had the opportunity to speak to some of you personally and I have told you my news........ Scrapping on the Go will close the store location

OCTOBER 10th 3:30

I know I heard a lot of "OH, NOs" but this is what I have to do for myself and my family. Please do not stop reading because I have a TON of other goodies to tell YOU! I look at this situation as one chapter closing in my life and another new chapter is starting!

I have given about 150 percent of myself to my shop because I LOVE MY SHOP and my second family! But that only gives 50 percent to my family, friends and myself so there is just not enough time for everything and we all know time is very important to all of us and to put it bluntly, life goes by way too fast!

As some of you may know my original plan for a store was to hold SCRAP EVENTS and that was how my store name, "Scrapping on the Go" came about. I am going to go back to my original plan and do just that. I am SOOO excited about my new adventure and I will get to have the best of all 4 worlds which is MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, MYSELF and YES MY SCRAPBOOKING Business! I have built some pretty special relationships that I will always treasure and I hope that all of you will get the opportunity to come to my SCRAP EVENTS.

Scrap Events will be held 4 times per year at the

UNION CENTER

(Dates to follow later next week)

AT the SCRAP EVENTS I will have a mini store set up with all of the Main products that I carry now with lots of NEW stuff all the time! I will have Card Mania just like I do now, Classes and Scrapping that you can pre-register for

(prices to follow)

If you do not want to scrap you can just come and VISIT ME or SHOP there is NO FEE to come through the door and no buttons to purchase.

I will also have the KODAK PICTURE MAKER SET UP so you can print off those quality pictures for scrapping.

Plus I will be going to some Craft Events around the area and I will let know when and where those are when it gets closer to the events.

My Business number will change but I will give you that later

so you can still call me for supplies. I know some of you have special products that you can only get from my shop or you may have questions.

I will be having my " HOT DEAL OF THE WEEK" starting up again too!

I will be coming to Albert Lea about once a week so I can always meet you if you happen to need something.

I know there is A LOT of info here but I just wanted all of you to know what is going on. So really I am only closing my location and my blog will still be updated and emails will still go out.

Since I am closing the store Scrapping Bucks will not longer be given out but YOU can start spending your Scrapping Bucks now through October 10th! I know some of you have LOTS so now you can go on a shopping spree for YOU!

Also, your Punch Cards will not end. And products purchased from my by phone, online or at the Scrap Events your card will still get punched and you can still spend your free $10 credits whenever I have Scrap Events or if I am at a Craft EVENT!!!! YAAAA

**UPDATES**

Mike and I would like to express a special thank you to those of you who said special prayers, sent cards, called us on the phone and stopped in to visit to see how we were during these past few weeks. It is so nice to know that we have built some pretty special relationships with our customers that have become a second family to us. We also appreciate your patience and understanding while we had the store closed.

Cards for a Cause is going strong!!!

I have been receiving some really nice donations of cards for a "Cards for a Cause" , a BIG thank YOU to those of you who have! I am ALWAYS accepting card donations of any kind. I have decided that whatever amount I have by December 1st the store is going to MATCH the dollar amount and we will go on a shopping spree by picking mittens off the Giving Trees and purchasing presents for children! This will be so much FUN!

This will be in memory of my Mother~in~Law, Dee! She Loved children and I thought this would be a very good way to remember her! Plus, whoever would like to go shopping with me can help me out and we will have a wrapping party to make the presents look so special for the children! I can just imagine the twinkle in a child's eye with a big grin on their faces when they open their presents!!!!! Oh, how I LOVE the Holiday!

If you do not make cards and can not donate then stop in and purchase a card! They are sitting in a basket at the counter!

I also have a change on my Craft Nights

with the cost of everything going up, my Saturday Craft Night will now be $12 instead of $10. This change will start September 1st.

This is still a very inexpensive amount for 12 hours of FUN scrapping that includes lunch and supper, beverages, snacks, prizes for all, 15% off in store products and sweets!

**Store Closed

My Mother in Law Dee made her journey today to become an Angel.

She is at peace, no more pain and she has joined her family in the heavens above. She will be missed by all of us. She was such a fighter, never complained and I am just happy that she is no longer hurting. Seeing her slip away from us was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I am at peace because I got to spend the past few days with her and I got the chance to tell her everything that I ever wanted to say to her. She will be thought of often and she will truly be missed.

I will figure out another date and announce it. If you will be unable to make that date just let me know and I can set a set aside for you.

I would like to say thank you to those of you who have sent prayers, stopped in to visit and for those of you who have helped me out this past week. A special Thank you to Tonya for helping me out on Wednesday for opening the store for me at the last minute. I really appreciate it. Thank you mom for taking care of my girls, that really means a lot to me and I know they like the grandma time.

I apologize to all of you for not being at the shop. I know some of you may get upset if you come to the store to find it closed this week. You may wonder why I do not have someone else covering for me. I try to keep the expense down so I mainly have a family member help me when needed and they can not always come when they have already made plans. This week has been very traumatic for my family so thank you for understanding.

As most of you know my Mother in law Dee is very ill with cancer and she is terminal. She is not doing very well and I wanted to be her. Please remember Dee in your prayers.
